Method
- Whisk mayonnaise, sour cream, tomato purée, maple syrup, lemon juice, paprika, and salt.
- Stir in the pickle, onion, and parsley.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes to develop the flavor.
- Serve with salads, seafood, burgers, or cold meats.

Conversion used: Replace the sugar with 45 ml maple syrup and reduce the lemon juice by 15 ml; use dill pickle instead of sweet relish to keep the maple flavor clear.
Why Quebec maple syrup: Maple brings a clean caramel note to the creamy tomato dressing and pairs naturally with pickle acidity. The substitution avoids the heavier sweetness of commercial relish.
