  1. Heat the oven to 175 °C and butter a ทำ 2-litre baking dish.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder and salt; mix in butter, milk and 60 ml maple syrup to form a soft batter.
  3. Spread the batter in the dish.
  4. Boil 375 ml maple syrup, water and 30 g butter, then pour it over the batter without stirring.
  5. Bake 35–40 minutes until golden; serve warm with the maple sauce.
